Message From The Founder
As a direct product of the New Jersey foster care system, I have devoted my life
to the safety, advocacy and well being of the most vulnerable - our children. The
Against All Odds Foundation is built on the premise that all children will be harnessed
with the skills, strength and tenacity to transcend failure. Against All Odds.
Your pledge in our fight against the educational inequity of disadvantaged children
will allow us to be formidable, unassailable, and relentless in this fight.
We remain committed in our resolve to offer the highest quality tutoring programs
in the Supplemental Educational Services arena. The No Child Left Behind Act (2001)
is a highly debatable piece of legislation, yet we contend that the achievement
gap must be closed in districts where our students are failing. With your help,
Brilliant Minds will break new ground. Our commitment, combined with the sure genius
and expertise of educators like you, will make the success of our children the norm
and not the exception.
We intend to lead by example, invoking the EIA code of ethics as just a glimpse
in the core of our integrity. Professional and corporate integrity has been one
of Against All Odds Foundation's guiding principals since the day our agency was
founded. Our sound reputation and our agency's future depend on how we deal with
others both inside and outside of our agency. Being honest and fair is fundamental
to how we do business and how we behave in our daily interactions, both seen and
unseen. It extends far beyond simple respect for the laws and regulations in the
districts we serve it enters into everything we do and is the central part of
daily lives. Our board of Directors has reviewed and embraced our corporate integrity
code. They and we believe that achieving business objectives should never demand
that we sacrifice either our personal integrity or the agency's.
Just as integrity is a part of whom we are as individuals, it is also a part of who
we are as members of the Against All Odds Foundation. Every one of us is responsible
for our agency's integrity and reputation. Our code helps each of us meet our responsibilities
and provides a strong foundation in which each of us can affirm that integrity lies
in everything that we do. and it starts with me.
